AUTUMN WINTER 24
THE ROSE
The colours are taken from the blousey full blown abundant blooms of roses : the hues of the petals, stems, leaves and the centre of the bud through to the wilting flower.
The silhouette is soigné. Both; day and evening silhouettes are presented.
Anna says’ As usual, I have a penchant for shapes of the 70’s running through my collections and this season I wanted to soften and loosen up the silhouette further by introducing elements from 1920s silhouettes in homage to the era that my inspiration the Charles Rennie Macintosh British artist and designer worked in.
The English rose is the house flower of Anna Mason.
The stylised art nouveau Rose formation designed by British artist and designer Charles Rennie Macintosh was the starting point for the motif for the print on the Devore evening clothes, a fabric typically used in the 1920s
In another print jewellery chain necklaces and jewels adorn a silk polka dot jacquard to suggest the flapper girls’ necklaces of the 1920.
